At So You Want a Career in Athletics ™, we provide year-round programs that introduce girls and young professional women to amazing careers and women leaders in sports. Our annual programs include interactive webinars and in-person events such as the SYWACIA(™) Sports Leadership Academy and our annual National Girls & Women's in Sports Day event with the New Orleans Pelicans to name a few.

These amazing developmental opportunities focus on mentorship, career mapping, and have introduced participants to successful women leaders in the NBA, NBL, sports business, sports medicine, collegiate sports administration, and more! Your financial support is important to the growth of SYWACIA(™), which is why we’re asking for your financial support.

SYWACIA(™) is an initiative of the Marc & Kiki Barnes Foundation. Since 2018, we have reached more than 400 girls and young women interested in sports in: Louisiana, Alabama, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, Texas, Missouri, Iowa, Alaska, New Mexico, Maryland, Florida, Virginia, New York, Arkansas, North Carolina, California, District of Columbia, Oklahoma, and Minnesota.
